The Northern Province Deputy Chief Secretary, Personnel and Training Department held a work program on Personnel Review Discussion at the Management Development Training Unit (19.01.2026 – 23.01.2026) at the Management Development Training Center in Kilinochchi.

In order to manage government expenditure in accordance with government policy and to carry out the government machinery efficiently and without interruption, personnel review activities that are necessary and essential in government institutions are being carried out by the Department of Management Services.

As part of this, a discussion regarding the personnel review for the recruitment process for essential posts sanctioned by the Department of Management Services in the Ministries and Departments of the Northern Provincial Council was held at the Management Development Training Unit located in Kilinochchi under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the Northern Provincial Council, Mrs. Thanuja Murugesan, from 19.01.2026 to 23.01.2026.

This discussion was a separate direct discussion between a group of senior officials of the Department of Management Services and officials of each of the Ministries and Departments of the Northern Provincial Council, and the personnel requirements of the respective Ministries and Departments were examined in detail and very important decisions were taken. It is also noteworthy that a team of senior officials of the Department of Management Services conducted a direct field visit to hospitals, government institutions, an old age home and a certified school under the Northern Provincial Council.

The discussion was attended by the Director of the Department of Management Services, Mr. M.A. Karunaratne, Deputy Directors, Mr. J.I. Ratnayake and Mrs. Sameera Hettiarachchi, on behalf of the Department of Management Services, and by the Secretaries of Ministries, Deputy Chief Secretaries and Heads of Departments on behalf of the Northern Provincial Council.
